Route 17 Express Deli – 4147 Madison Pike, Covington, Kentucky
Where Hands Pike meets Route 17, is a very laid back, no-non sense deli and general store that services the business and homes in that area (Independence, Erlanger, & Covington). What makes Rt 17’s sandwiches the best deli sandwiches? Fresh ingredients, known brands, great quality, and made-to-order. Carl’s Food Shop – Hyde Park, Ohio
Carl’s is a quaint little hot spot resembling the closest thing to a New York Deli. Enjoy Breakfast, lunch, or dinner 7 days a week. Walk-in and look to the right you will find 30 different sandwiches. Along with a made-to-order sandwich, you can order a bottle of wine that you will find in one of the refrigerators beside the counter. The ambiance is unbeatable and a reason why it is a true Hyde Park landmark.
Silverglades – Downtown Cincinnati
You won’t find a better gourmet sandwich, Panini, or wrap downtown. You can purchase a daily homemade special for eat-in or carry-out. Choose from fresh homemade sides, soups, or salads. Gourmet coffees, teas, juices, waters are also available along with a full espresso bar and smoothie bar, also beer, wine, and gourmet snacks, With a headline like ” Cincinnati’s Oldest Family Owned and Operated Deli Since 1922″ you pretty much-gotta go, right?
Kremer’s Market – Crescent Springs, Kentucky
Kremers Market is known as the big red barn at Buttermilk Pike and Overlook Drive in Crescent Springs. Skip the bagged lunch and drop by for made-to-order deli sandwiches, paninis, and signature sandwiches. The Kremer’s Market deli carries 31 types of meat and 28 kinds of cheese daily, including their housemade roast beef and ham. Select your favorite sandwich served on Servatii bread—or take our word for it and order our two best-sellers, the Urb Chicken Panini and Kremer’s BLT with homemade chicken salad on a house-baked croissant. No restaurant facility at Kremers but the Crescent Springs Community Park is directly across the street from Kremer’s for a delightful picnic in the park grab a sandwich at Kremer’s.
Scherpie’s – St. Bernard, Ohio
Scherpie’s Produce and Deli has become an integral part of St. Bernard. They started Scherpie’s Produce and Deli in 1987 after realizing it wasn’t always easy to source the highest-quality fresh, local, and wholesome food in Cincinnati. Not only do they have amazing single sandwiches and double-deckers, but they also pride themselves on fresh produce, amazing fruit, and top-of-the-line deli products including lunch meats, cheese, and homemade salads and soups. If you are looking for a quick, easy and delicious deli dive, look no further than Scherpie’s.
J&W Sandwich Shoppe – Norwood, Ohio
At J & W Sandwich Shoppe in Norwood, they make the best sandwiches around to satisfy your hunger! Order their delicious Club Sandwich or grab a bite of their tasty New Yorker. If a classic, goliath-sized Cincinnati double-decker is what you are after it is J&W’s all the way.
Loschiavo’s Deli and Market – Park Hills, Kentucky
If you are looking for the freshest fruit, don’t go anywhere else but here. The great neighborhood produce spot! The Deli counter carries a great selection of meats, bread, and cheeses. hams, bacon, beef, and goetta. Go with the Goetta. Not so much because Loschiavo’s just does goetta better, but because it’s goetta. Goetta is the best. They have an entire section dedicated to Windy Acres Nuts and Candy, a local company out of Wilmington Ohio specializing in old-fashioned candy and custom mixed trail mixes and mixed nuts, dried fruits, etc. There is also a section dedicated to Colonel De Gourmet Spices! Laschiavo’s is strictly a to-go Deli but well worth a trip for a great sandwich and some delicious fruit and candy and nuts.
Fred and Gari’s – Downtown Cincinnati
Fred and Garri’s is a gourmet deli, with freshly roasted meats, made from scratch soups, and homemade desserts. Don’t forget to try their pizza- voted Best Pizza by Cincinnati Magazine. They have been in business since 1987. Simple, satisfying sandwiches served by a friendly staff. We can’t ask for much more. 629 Vine Street.
Clermont Springs Deli and Carryout – Anderson Township, Ohio
Clermont Springs Deli and Carryout is a small, family-owned and operated business. They take pride in their customer service and go above and beyond for each individual. Clermont Springs is a State Liquor Agency as well as a mom and pops deli. They still use the same recipes that they started with over 40 years ago! Here it is all about the value. You can get a great, no-frills totally satisfying sandwich for $5.00. Pastrami on rye with a hot pickle yummy.
Chops, Cheese and Chives – Covington, Kentucky
When Charlotte, the owner, was given the opportunity to transform the old Economy Meat Market, she felt this was an adventure that could not be passed up! With Anita presiding over the Deli and Mindy cooking madly in the kitchen, they offer daily lunch specials and fresh sandwiches. Everything is made in-house with real ingredients and no preservatives. They make their own deli salads, BBQ, Hummus, take-home meals such as lasagna, stuffed peppers, meatloaf, and desserts. They carry a varied selection of local and national brand bottled Kombuchas and they now have local Kombucha on tap! You can buy your fermented tea by The Growler. They carry everything Tea! This is strictly a to-go Deli
